We get up early and leave after a frugal breakfast. Very close to Villamar, we arrive in the Valle de Rocas, a valley full of singular rock formations. We ride in the company of 4x4 full of tourists. The ripio isn't great but it slows more the cars than us. We finish our tour by the Laguna Vinto and its flamingos.
Back on the main road, the ripio is really terrible. There are many paths more or less parallel and all going to the same place but in different states, some are all smashed, others a little better. The game is to find the best. In some places the road is only sand and slow us down considerably, even sometimes forcing us to push the bikes.
After lunch we visit the Laguna Negra, a little away from the road. It's a kind of canyon whose bottom is only lawn and small streams populated with llamas. The place is simply magical, we are subjugated.
The rest of the day is quite long, we still have a lot of kilometers to cover and the track doesn't improve. We arrive at 18:00 in Alota where it take us 45min to find a place to sleep. After our meal of fries, rice and llamas meat eaten, we go to sleep very tired.
