The weather for today and tomorrow is not good: showers this morning then rain continuously until tomorrow morning and showers for the rest of tomorrow. We are 75km from Icalma, our next destination and a small village accessible by the pass of the same name at 1200m altitude, 1000m higher than where we are. Reaching Icalma seems feasible but difficult, especially with the rain. So we decide to go only 30km from here to Melipeuco, the last village before the pass.
The road from Cunco to Melipeuco is paved and very flat. It doesn't take much time for us to arrive at the village and to find a bed and breakfast with Wifi. We didn't even take a drop despite the threatening clouds. We rest the rest of the day watching streams of water running down the window.
