La Quebrada de las Conchas

We booked our Airbnb in Salta for in two days, and we have 190 kilometers to go. It looks sporty. We leave Cafayate, and start a false flat descendant. After an hour we cross the Quebrada de las Conchas: splendid. It's a semi-desert, red, with surprising rock formations. A little Talampaya canyon, without the canyon side! It's hot and after lunch, we decide to take a nap, which was good.

After several small steep hills, the descending flat continues, and we ride many kilometers. The day is long, but we want to do more today than tomorrow. We arrive at La Viña, a small village where we camp near a gas station. A big storm breaks out in the evening. Our tipi holds up well, even if some pegs weren't deep dug enough and turned on themselves.
