500km and king penguins

57.4km
359.5m
372.0m
Difficult awakening, we are felling the 96 km of the day before. This morning it's raining and the wind is strong. Fortunately it's partially with us. The track is deteriorated by the rain, trucks are watering us with mud, even if the most of them are slowing down not to splash us. Under these conditions, we pass the 500km mark since we left Ushuaïa.

In the afternoon we are pleased to see that some sections of the road under construction are open. We can drive faster and more comfortably for about 20km. The rain calms down and we end up to the king penguins park in the end of the afternoon. We planned to visit it the next day but luckily the park is open on Sundays and closed on Mondays. We have the pleasure of seeing these pretty creatures in their natural environment. The young penguins are adorable, they look like clumsy stuffed animals. In the evening we camp between the road and sheep and their lambs.
