A windy road to Pachaco

69.1km
340.1m
684.2m
We take the road for 85 kilometers, rather downhill. The morning is going very well, we're moving fast. The weather is fine, and even if the high mountain is far away, small mountains give us a varied and pretty landscape, and more importantly a road not straight.

We eat just before we enter in a very windy valley. Our average speed drops to 6kph, it was a long time! We do 15 kilometers like this, before hitchhiking. The road is under construction and we are taken by road workers who take us to the end of the stretch they are redoing. They make us advance of "only" 15 km, but that's to more than two hours for us! We are going to Pachaco. They build a dike and it's impossible to go much further, but the people in charge of the security/entry of the site are very nice. In addition to allowing us enjoy their shower and their water, they offer us fruits and pizza slices.

This is one of the warmest nights. We did the mistake of putting the tent when the sun was still warm, and our tipi with its dark inner room absorbed the heat, and gave it us back all night!
