We leave early in the morning, and climb to the highest point of our trip (we beat all the records in a row), at 4915m. The ripio is good, although some slopes are quite steep. We lunch at the top, with no difficulty related to altitude. We drink Coca-Colas that a 4*4 have just offered us.
The ripio from there get worst. We're on the way to the geysers. It stinks, but it's beautiful. There are many different colors, and some even "boil". We then go rather slowly because of the bad track to reach the Laguna Colorada, which is red. We see it from afar, we'll see it better tomorrow. The bike day ends on a very bad ripio, with headwind. It took more than 7h to complete this day and we arrive tired in a hostel. We talk with other tourists during the meal, especially with two French, it feels good.
