We leave Cusco, the exit is uphill. Floriane is sick, but the kilometers are passing well. There is a bit of traffic, a lot of buses and minibuses go to the sacred valley. We then have a good descent to reach this famous valley, and we arrive for lunch at Pisaq. We find a hotel, we leave our bikes and luggage, and then go to visit the ruins.
The
classic route: take a bus that leaved you to the top of the ruins, then
go down to the middle of the different sites for about two hours. We decided to climb the ruins, then to go down, which would allow us to see everything as there are loops. We can see several terraces, a village still well preserved, and several temples (sun and moon). Dare the big words: it's as well preserved and as beautiful as the Machu Picchu, with the surroundings just a little less magical. But the state of Floriane is getting worse, and we cannot go on much than two hours. We decide to go to the care center.
And a new intestinal infection! Having to deal with a dishonest medical nurse / assistant, but a very
good doctor, we leave with seven days of antibiotics, again.
The evening, we attend the opening of a street creperie. A French woman and her Colombian friend had just moved in, and we are a bit like their tester, she was waiting impatiently for our advice. That was delicious!
