Once awakened we join Véronique and Eric at their home to have a good breakfast. We leave then towards Troyes. The beginning of the morning is monotonous: fields of cereals and wind turbines as far as the eye can see. But we end up reaching the bike path along the canal of the Upper Seine. The canal is no longer used but the bike path is very nice. A few kilometers further we arrive in Troyes and soon reach the very cute city center. There are many churches, half-timbered houses.
We walk in the streets of old Troyes with pleasure before sitting on a terrace for lunch with Troyes andouillette on the menu. Then we visit the cathedral of Troyes which is very elegant and the windows are really nice. It's Gothic without being too heavy.
We leave Troyes by the same path as we entered, but we continue the bike path much further to reach Maizière-la-grande-paroisse and the house of our Warmshowers of the day: Elise, Paul and their children. We spend a very good evening on the terrace.
