We leave Saumur. Today is a small day. We'll visit the villages of Montsoreau and Condés-sur-Loire. All this is very cute. The troglodyte villages on the way are impressive, we don't hesitate to take a bike ride, even if the slopes are steep!
We go through the Abbey of Fontevraud. We're a little disappointed with the welcome. This is the first time in ten months that we categorically refuse to fill our water bottles in a bar. Surely too many bikes that do the same thing (there are really a lot of bikes on this Loire and the surrounding area) and bar tenders are a bit jaded.
We arrive early at Brion-près-Thouet, a small village near Thouars where the grandparents of Floriane live. We give ourselves a day of rest. With caring grandparents, we've a great day. We'll even go boating in the Marais Poitevin. Surprisingly, we were not many on the water.
