We discuss of our plans with Anaëlle and Jonas (the two Swiss of the day before). We steal their idea to make a detour to go to the seven colors
mountain, and they steal our idea to rent a car to visit this place and
others of Cusco.
The first part goes very quickly, we do 25kph or faster. We arrive early in Sicuani, and we get a SIM card. With the internet, we see that our volunteering is going down the drain. Indeed, we wanted to volunteer on Cusco: in exchange for a few hours of work a day, accommodation and meals are offered. But
we couldn't found one, the city of Cusco is very popular with backpakers,
and it's impossible to do this kind of volunteering less than a month. Now we have plenty of time to go to the Seven Colors Mountain.
We arrive at the junction of the road to the village of Checacupe, but we pity the hostals, and there is no agency leaving from here. We ride 8 kilometers on the road to the mountain, and arrive at the village of Pitumarca, which is touristy. A restaurateur hosts us, prepares a good dinner, and adds us to a group from Cusco to visit the mountain the next day. Perfect.
