We aren't disappointed: it's a real beautiful hill, in every sense of the word. 1300m of elevation gain in 30 kilometers, and in addition, a magnificent landscape. Each bend takes time, but what a pride to be able to count them all once up! We
arrive at hill's top after a milder climb at the end, but on a bit
sandy track, it's not necessarily easier, it's about 16:00. From there, we start a great descent, on ripio then on asphalt towards Uspallata. the valley is pretty. We end up in a well maintained campsite with colorful flowers and cute little puppies. We meet some guanacos, less wild than those of Tierra del Fuego.
Wednesday is rest day. In the morning, we're going for an excursion to the Aconcagua National Park. The Aconcagua is the highest peak in South America, and in fact the highest peak off Himalayas (6,962m). We take a bus that takes us to a beautiful valley, very desert mountains. We follow a marked trail for 1,5h, then go to see the Puente del Inca, an impressive natural bridge. In the afternoon, it's nap, shopping, banking, cleaning chains ...
