This morning we leave our Warmshowers by the small roads. We just left when one of the dogs in the neighborhood decides to follow us. A small return trip to the hamlet later and we're free of the dog.
We arrive quickly to Thiviers from where we take a small portion of greenway. The greenway is slightly downhill and we arrive very quickly in Saint-Jean-de-Côle, a pretty village classified in the 100 most beautiful villages of France.
We continue then on the small quiet roads of Périgord, small wooded hills and some fields cultivated here and there. The heat is stifling this afternoon. We finish the day at Alex, a Belgian octogenarian who has several guest rooms at Petit Breuil, not far from Verteillac. We spend a pleasant evening under the care of our host.
