We leave Lille, the suburb is relatively fast to cross. We are amazed at the number of bicycle paths. Almost all the time, we can take some, even on departmental roads that connect villages.
Here, no weird cows and sheep, just cultivated meadows, sometimes flocks, but quite common breeds.
It's pretty flat and cute. We cross different city centers, all with their church, their bakery... It's good to be in France. In the evening, we arrive at Isabelle and Laurent, a couple who live in the village of Feignies. They are very warm, welcoming, and they cook us homemade pasta with carbonara, a delight!
