Avesnois and Wallonia

We go to the bakery (we had missed it) before leaving for Wallonia. We start with a bicycle path that follows an old railway. The dirt road is sometimes very thin and muddy, it's a change compared to the tar. The path is beautiful, but trees along the way block the view.

At the beginning of the afternoon we soon reach Belgium. The villages are more of gray stones than bricks. We pass not far from the village of Chimay, of the same name than the famous Trappist beer, and decide to visit the center and, who knows, maybe drink a beer. The village is very pretty, but we cannot see the abbey behind large walls. We also don't find a place to buy a Chimay, surprisingly the bars and inns of the center have other brands of beer on their storefront.

After Chimay, we have only a few small villages to reach the house of our hosts Annabelle and Corentin. There is more vertical drop here, we go up and down all the time. We meet our host tonight by bike close to their place, he told us to make ourselves comfortable in the caravan at the back of the garden. We meet Helmut Wool the sheep on the way to the caravan which is very comfortable and very cute. We take our shower before going to drink some local beers with Corentin. After this great start of the evening we enter our trailer for a dish of Peruvian quinoa with cherry tomatoes and goat cheeses from Taizé (Saone-et-Loire, France).
