The exit of Coyhaique begins with a small descent followed by a long climb. From above, we can see Coyhaique on his plateau on the mountainside. It is very beautiful and hot (more than 25°).
Ten blocks after the city, we face a choice: continue the paved road that makes a small hook to Puerto Aysen or stay on the road 7, more direct but becomes dirt road. The fairly intense traffic on the paved road and almost zero on the other helps us to choose the route 7.
The track is not always in good condition but the landscapes are beautiful. We do not progress very fast especially because this track is hilly and the wind against us. We find where to sleep near the Rio Azul, eleven kilometers to find the asphalt.
