We decide to leave despite the weather that doesn't look good. We are still hesitating to visit the island of Chiloé. If we wish, the boat is on Saturday morning in Chaiten, 145 km from the Junta. We are trying to catch it and we set course to Santa Lucia, 70 km away. The weather is actually rather good, and apart from showers in the beginning, we end up in shorts / t-shirt because the sun heats. Even the sky clears, revealing beautiful hills. We arrive at Santa Lucia. We try wild camping in town. After being dislodged once we end up in the village campsite.
