Today it's hot. We leave in the morning in shorts and t-shirt, not a cloud on the horizon. We soon reach the shores of lake General Carrera (lake Buenos Aires in Argentina), the second largest lake of South America. The landscape is really beautiful.
Just before lunch, we start a section of track in poor condition. We are struggling to find a shady place to eat.
At the end of the afternoon, we are approaching Puerto Tranquillo. Two Englishmen we met in Cochrane had told us about marble caves, which can be visited by kayak from Puerto Tranquillo. We decide to book a kayak tour for tomorrow and sleep in town. For the first time since El Calafate, we find bacon: tonight it's pasta carbonara, we missed it!
