Floriane
wakes up sick morning, it looks like an intestinal infection once more,
only 4 days after the end of the treatment of the previous intestinal
infection. She's still fit enough to ride a bike, especially since we start the day with 25km of descent, then a flat section.
The descent is going well, we can see the bottom of the valley with a beautiful blue river. At the end of the descent Floriane doesn't feel in great shape and we decide to go to the nearest health center. Diagnosis confirmed: she has an intestinal infection again, antibiotics for 7 days. We are a little stunned, it's the 5th time in 3 months.
We continue a little on the flat before stopping at the last village before a hill of more than 2200m vertical elevation. The village isn't quite at the edge of the road, so it isn't touristy at all, there is no Hospedaje. We only find a room under construction with shared bathroom with men from the neighboring building works. The toilets have certainly never been washed and the water is cold, but it's hot so it'll be fine.
We rest the rest of the day and begin to seriously question the end of our stay in South America.
