We stay in Chaiten on Sunday. The program: belotte (card game) with two French from our hostel, then booking ferry tickets. We are both sick. We suspect the cheese that has become blue, then the water. With landslides and heavy rains, perhaps it's no longer drinkable?
The ferry crossing last nine hours and we arrive at Puerto Montt around 10:00. We are going to the Asus Service Center. It would be possible to repair the laptop, but it could last up to a month. So we decide to send our laptop back to Finland and buy a small one here.
We stay 4 nights in Puerto Montt, to recover from our illness (which last), and to do all the necessary things: shopping, buying bike lubricant, writing postcard... It is our longest rest period. We are in a hurry to get back on our bikes.
